From a Small Bakery on Bloor Street…

Domenic Sabino, and his lovely Bella, Antonietta began with a small bakery on Bloor Street in Toronto, ON. After a successful decade, they decided to branch out and expand with a brand-new banquet facility, Isabella Ballroom, also in Toronto, ON.
12 years later, Isabella Gardens was created & moved to King City, ON. For the next 17 years, events of all kinds graced their doors, leading to amazing moments, memories created, wonderful food & drinks shared by many. The Sabino Family legend was created!
Through the growth of their businesses, also was their growing family. They welcomed Nick and Franca, who also took prominent roles in the family business, as they became older. This allowed the family to open a second Banquet Facility in Newmarket, ON, called The Roman Palace. Over 20 years of amazing service to York Region called, and the Roman Palace was the place people called home for all events.
As times change, and the world evolves, the Sabino Family chose to make a change to their core business model, and the need for a large Banquet Facility. They moved in a difference direction in 2012, opening The Roman Bistro, in Newmarket, ON.
The Roman Bistro was a wonderful 2,000 square foot Indoor Restaurant and Catering facility. They offered a wonderful in-house dining experience, as well as small private events. The homemade cuisine, the ambiance, was always so welcoming to everyone that paid a visit.
In 2020, due to the unexpected and unprecedented times of COVID-19, and a Global Pandemic, and with these incredibly challenging times, The Roman Bistro had to make the very difficult decision to temporarily close their doors in Newmarket, ON, after 8 amazing years.
After 8 months of replanning, and never giving up on the Sabino family legacy, Nick & Franca have re-opened their doors in beautiful downtown Aurora, as Piazza Italian Eatery. Mercato!
This new location is a new direction for the core family business. They officially welcome into this new busines venture, their business partner, Mr. Ryan Longhi.
Piazza Italian Eatery. Mercato have opened to serve the great people of York Region, offering fresh made-to-order take-out, a wonderful in house marketplace (Mercato) of fresh take home selections, custom antipasto options, dry goods, homemade frozen selections, sauces, soups, salads and so much more !
